Teatro de los Insurgentes

The Teatro de los Insurgentes is a theater in Mexico City. It was built in 1951-1953. The architect was José María Dávila. On the facade there is the created by Diego Rivera mural history of the theater in Mexico. Was opened the theater with a piece in which Cantinflas played the lead role. The Teatro de los Insurgentes provides 1100 spectators. During the Summer Olympics in 1968, the theater was the venue for the competitions in weightlifting.
