Use
Tebupirimfos will be used as an insecticide. The toxic effect is due to inhibition of acetylcholinesterase. In the U.S., it was first approved in 1984, here tebupirimfos is used as a pesticide in corn cultivation. The annual consumption in the United States around the year 2000 was estimated at about 270,000 pounds (123 tons). It is often used in combination with cyfluthrin.
In Germany, Austria and Switzerland, no plant protection products containing this active ingredient are allowed.
