Technopark, Trivandrum

Technopark Kerala is located in Thiruvananthapuram. It was opened in 1991 and was the first such technology park in India. Its area is 780,000 square meters. Currently, over 28,000 engineers working here.

History and Mission

In July 1990, the Kerala government had implemented the concept of a techno park. The foundation stone for the first building was laid on 31 March 1991. In 2010 the park was responsible for approximately 70 % of all software exports the state of Kerala.

Infrastructure

Technopark Kerala has the goal to provide the necessary infrastructure for IT companies. There are currently more than 180 IT companies, which are located in several buildings. Altogether, there are about twelve buildings. In addition, in-house development centers of Infosys Technologies, UST Global are under construction. The largest building at times, Thejaswini, was inaugurated on 22 February 2007.
