Ted Lange

Theodore William Lange ( born January 5, 1948 in Oakland, California) is an American writer, director, producer, film and stage actor. He became known in his role as head bartender Isaac Washington in the television series The Love Boat.

Life

Long learned acting at the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art in London. He began his acting career at San Francisco 's New Shakespeare Company. On Broadway, he was part of the ensemble of the musical Hair. In 1977, he won the role of the bartender in the TV series The Love Boat. After the series ended in 1986, he played again and again guest-starred in several TV series such as Scrubs - The Beginners, The King of Queens and Psych addition to acting, Long has also worked as a director and writer. He has also directed several episodes of the Love Boat directing and also wrote screenplays for the series.

Since 1978, Lange is married to Sheryl Thompson, with whom he has two children.
