Ted Yoho

Theodore Scott "Ted" Yoho ( born April 13, 1955 in Minneapolis, Minnesota) is an American politician. Since 2013 he represents the state of Florida in the U.S. House of Representatives.

Career

At the age of eleven years, Ted Yoho moved with his parents to Florida. Later he studied at the University of North Alabama and then until 1977 on the Broward Community College in Fort Lauderdale. This was followed up in 1979 to study agriculture at the University of Florida in Gainesville. He then worked as a veterinarian in northern Florida. He is a member of the American Veterinary Medical Association, the ranchers Association of Florida and the National Rifle Association. Politically, he joined the Republican Party.

In the congressional elections of 2012 Yoho was 65 percent of the vote in the third electoral district of Florida in the U.S. House of Representatives in Washington DC elected after he had previously prevailed in the Primary of his party against the longtime incumbent Cliff Stearns. He joined in the third district on January 3, 2013, the successor of Corrine Brown, which moved to the fifth district.

Ted Yoho is married and has three children.
