Tedaga is the language of the ethnic group of the Teda.
It belongs to the Saharan languages within the Nilo-Saharan Sprachphylums and is spoken in Chad, Niger and Nigeria of a total of approximately 43,000 people.
The language is related to the Dazaga the Daza close, about 67 % of the vocabulary of both languages are similar. Dazaga is partly used by the Tedaga speakers alongside the Arabian as a second language.
The Teda and Daza peoples are grouped under the name Tubu.
