Teerasil Dangda

Teerasil Dangda ( Thai: ธีร ศิลป์ แดง ดา, born June 6, 1988 in Bangkok ) is a Thai football player at the position of a striker. He plays for Muang Thong United in the Thai Premier League and is considered one of the great storm talents of the country.

Career

His career began Teerasil in the football team of the Assumption Thonburi College, to which he went to school. In 2006, he signed his first contract with FC Amateur Raj Pracha. A year later was borrowed for half series to the crew of Air Force Training College. For a further half of the season we went to the then third division club Muang Thong United. In July 2007 it was announced that Teerasil, will attend along with Suree Sukha and Kiatprawut Saiwaeo a trial at Manchester City. The former owner of the club, Thaksin Shinawatra, had arranged the trial. All three received a short time later a contract with City. His career in the national team, he started in the U-16/U-17 Thailand in 2004. He was part of the squad that took part in the finals of the U-17 Football Asia Championships 2004. He was part of the 2007 Olympic team that tried to qualify for the 2008 Summer Olympic Games. In December 2007 he won the U -23 gold medal at the Southeast Asian Games. In the same year he had his first appointment to the cadre men's team. He was part of the squad at the finals of Asian Cup 2007. He had thus taken part in three years in three different age classes of finals at the AFC Asian Cup. On 8 October 2007, he met the first time for the Thai national football team of men. His next big tournament were the ASEAN Football Championships 2008., Where he was able to reach the final with Thailand. During the tournament he scored four goals. One of which he succeeded in the final of the tournament against Vietnam. In the second leg of the final, he scored the 1-0 for Thailand. This result would have brought Thailand into overtime, but managed to Vietnam shortly before the end of the balance. Thus Teerasil remained his first title with the men refused.
