Teiuş (debate. Te ' juʃ, Hungarian Tövis = " thorn" in Hungarian, German Three church, city thorns, thorns ) is a city in Alba County in Transylvania, Romania. Its population in 2007 was approximately 7400 inhabitants.
History
Teiuş was founded in 1296 and has several churches: A Roman Catholic from 1449, which was built for John Corvinus and 1701-1704 rebuilt in the Gothic style, and a church of the Uniate Catholic church from the 17th century.

Traffic
Teiuş is of high importance for the Romanian Railways ( CFR ), because it is an important junction for the line from Cluj- Napoca ( Cluj ) and Arad about Sighisoara ( Sighisoara ) to Brasov (Kronstadt) and Bucharest.
