Telecine (copying)

The term telecine (English for telecine ) referred to in the warez scene an illegally used in the Internet copy of a movie that is ripped by a professional film scanner directly from the movie. The term stands in contrast both to Cam - Rip / Telesync, the film with a video camera is included in the cinema, and on the other hand, for DVD - Rip, in which a legally available loan or purchase video is used as a template.

In Germany only Screener, Cam Rips, Telesyncs and possibly Telecines on the Internet immediately after the theatrical release of a film initially available because the film industry here, not at the same time, but with a few months delay began marketing the DVDs. In the U.S., new films, however, often published in parallel in the cinema and on DVD. The advantage of Telecines thus lies in the faster availability.

Telecines, in contrast to filmed from the screen Telesyncs and Cam Rips on a much higher quality. While the latter are often included blurred, faded and flackerig, the quality of a Telecines sometimes reaches to that of a DVD Rips zoom ( the overall picture, however, is often too dark). On the other hand, are more difficult to produce Telecines: a film scanner is an expensive studio equipment, which is rarely seen in the hobby; further physical access to the footage is needed, that is, it must be borrowed, for example, of a movie theater employee. For these reasons, advised few films as a telecine in circulation.
