Telecommunications Tower

The Torre de las Telecomunicaciones, also known as Torre Antel is a building in the Uruguayan capital of Montevideo.

The tallest building in the country is owned by the state-owned telecommunications company ANTEL, whose seat also located there. The height of the structure in the Bay of Montevideo, which was completed in 2003, is 157 meters. It has 35 levels, which are operated by six elevators. Designed by the architect Carlos Ott buildings caused in the phase of its construction instead of the originally budgeted at the start of construction 1997 budget of 65 million U.S. dollars costs in the amount of 102 million U.S. dollars.
