Telekinesis (band)

Telekinesis is a music project of the independent musician Michael Benjamin Lerner from Seattle, USA.

History

Michael Lerner's father worked for decades as a radio DJ. First, learners learned to play the drums. He later learned to play the guitar and he became a singer-songwriter. 2006 Lerner spent a year studying at, founded by Paul McCartney Liverpool Institute for Performing Arts. Published in 2008, Lerner EP Toulouse -Lautrec in self- distribution. Followed in 2009 with Coast of Carolina again a self-imposed EP. Finally, Lerner received a contract with the American label Merge Records. In April 2009 came his debut album Telekinesis! on the U.S. market. The publication in Germany a few months later took over the label Morr Music. Bonus material were here five pieces of the Coast of Carolina EP which was previously only available in the USA. For the recording of Telekinesis! Lerner was the Death Cab For Cutie guitarist and producer Chris Walla win, which used an analog recording technique during the recording. Then Lerner went with a live band on tour. 2010, the EPs Dirty Thing and Parallel Seismic Conspiracies came out. His second album as Telekinesis played learners again with Chris Walla with analog recording technology a. 12 Desperate Straight Lines was released in February 2011. Single release on Morr Music was Please Ask For Help. Again followed a tour with live musicians.
