Telephassa

Telephassa (Greek Τηλέφασσα ) is a person of Greek mythology.

She is in the Libraries of Apollodorus the wife of Agenor, with whom she has children Europe, Cadmus, Phoinix and Kilix. After the abduction of Europa by Zeus she makes her wish of her husband along with her sons on the futile search for the abductees. Because it is not allowed without their daughter's homecoming, she finally settles down with Cadmus in Thrace. There, she dies and is buried by Cadmus.

In Europe the ancient Greek poet Epyllion Moschos Telephassa appears as the daughter of the sea god Poseidon and Libya; by her husband Phoinix it is the mother of Europe. In Stephanos of Byzantium and in a Scholium they say Telephe (Greek Τηλέφη )
