Telsen
Telsen is the capital of the department of Telsen in Chubut province in southern Argentina. The distance to the provincial capital Rawson is 176 kilometers.
Geography and climate
Telsen located on the southern edge of the Meseta de Somuncurá. This zone has a mild microclimate with thermal water springs and vegetation, which give it the character of an oasis. During the first half of the 20th century there were vineyards, the Telsen for its regional wines made famous. The wine was not continued.
History
Telsen was founded on December 9, 1898 by John Marley.
