Telstar 12

Telstar 12 is a broadcasting satellite of Loral Skynet, based in New Jersey, USA. Originally appointed by Orion Network Systems as the Orion 2, the company was purchased in 1998 along with the under construction of Loral Skynet satellites. On 31 October 2007, the Canadian company Telesat Canada merged with the U.S. company Loral Skynet.

He was promoted on 19 October 1999 with a launch of an Ariane - 44LP H10 -3 with high school still under its original name Orion 2 into space. Shortly after the satellite in Telstar 12 was renamed.

The French company Eutelsat has leased four of the 38 Ku -band transponders.

Reception

The satellite can be received in Europe, North America, South America, South Africa and in the Caribbean.

The transmission is in the Ku- band.
