Témiscaming

Témiscaming is a small town on the south shore of Lac Témiscamingue, Quebec City, Canada's largest province. It belongs to the regional county municipality ( municipalité régional de comté ) Témiscamingue.

Most important industry is a cellulose factory. Témiscaming was founded in 1917 by Riordan Pulp. The village and the factory was bought in 1925 by the Canadian International Paper Company. 1973, when the company decided to close the plant, the company Tembec took over the mill.
