Tempio Pausania

Tempio Pausania ( gallurese: Tempiu ) is one of the main cities of the province of Olbia- Tempio in the north - east of Sardinia. The city has 13,973 inhabitants (as of 31 December 2012) and Bishop and court seat.

Tempio Pausania is the historic and geographical center of the Gallura. The districts of Tempio Pausania are Nuchis, Bassacutena and San Pasquale. Neighboring municipalities are Aggius, Aglientu, Arzachena, Berchida, Bortigiadas, Calangianus, Erula, Luogosanto, Lura, Oschiri, Palau, Perfugas, Santa Teresa Gallura and Tula.

Tempio has a station on the narrow gauge railway line Sassari - Palau, which is served in the summer months from Trenino Verde.
