  • The templates are easily integrated with { { XYZ } }, where XYZ either the three-digit country codes of ISO -3166 encoding ( ISO) or the symbol of the International Olympic Committee (IOC) corresponds. The IOC templates are redirects to the corresponding ISO templates (to minimize the maintenance effort ). Example: { { ENG } } expands to Germany Germany.
  • To change the link destination can be given an additional (ie optional ) parameters. The link destination must be specified without [[...] ]. Example: { { ENG | German national football team } } expands to Germany Germany.
  • To change the link text, you can specify another additional (ie optional ) parameters. The link text must be specified without [[...] ]. Example: { { ENG | German national football team | Football in Germany } } expands to Germany 's football in Germany.
  • If the link text matches the link destination, it also presents a single additional (ie optional ) specify parameters. The link text must also be specified without [[...] ]. Example: { { ENG | target = German national football team } } expands to Germany German national football team.
  • If only the link text to be changed, the second unnamed parameter can be specified directly. Here also the country code can be used. The resulting link leads to the countries products. Example 1: { { GBR | 2 = Federal Republic of Germany } } expands to Germany Federal Republic of Germany. Example 2: { { GBR | 2 = GER } } expands to Germany GER.
  • If no link target and text is output, # must be entered.
  • To change the size of the flag optional named parameters WIDTH can be specified, which is interpreted as a pixel value (px ). Without this parameter, a uniform 20 pixels are used (Note: The small flags of Belgium, Nepal and Switzerland have an extra edge that an aspect ratio of 4:3 are simulated for uniform text indentation in lists). Example: { { ENG | WIDTH = 40} } to Germany is Germany.
