Tenacity

In microbiology, the tenacity (Latin tenacitas adherence ) or toughness or adhesion describes the ability of a microorganism are less than ideal conditions to survive. This may be due to different properties of the microorganism, such as low temperature sensitivity, high pH tolerance, etc. Especially is characterized so, how long can a microorganism in the environment, ie outside its usual habitat to survive.
