Tenderloin (San Francisco)

Tenderloin is a residential and business district in downtown San Francisco with extensive nightlife. It is composed of a mixed population and artistic. Tenderloin is marked by poverty, homelessness and crime. The neighborhood is known for its immigrants, love hotels, ethnic restaurants, bars and clubs and the alternative art scene. It is adjacent to Union Square, the Financial District and Civic Center.
