Tengiz Sulakvelidze

Tengiz Sulakwelidse (Georgian თენგიზ სულაქველიძე; Russian Тенгиз Григорьевич Сулаквелидзе; born July 23, 1956 in Kutaisi, Georgian SSR is a former Georgian Soviet football player.

Sulakwelidse began his career as a footballer 1974 Torpedo Kutaisi, the club of his hometown. In 1978 he moved to Dinamo Tbilisi and remained with this club until 1988. Tbilisi with he was in the 1978 Soviet champion and 1979 Soviet Cup winner. In the season 1980/1981 he won with his team the European Cup Winners' Cup.

For the Soviet national Sulakwelidse completed 1980-1988 49 international matches and scored two goals. At the 1980 Olympic Games he won the bronze medal with the Soviet team. He took in 1982 at the World Championships in Spain in 1988 and participate in the European Championship.

Sulakwelidse ended his active career in 1989 in Sweden IFK Holmsund.
