Tennis at the 2004 Summer Olympics
The XXVIII. 2004 Olympic Games in Athens were held four tennis competitions. Venue was the Olympic Tennis Centre at the Athens Olympic Sports Complex, where it was played on the court surface resin DecoTurf.

After his gold medal in doubles Chilean Massú also won the gold medal in singles against American Fish after 4:00 hours. In the match for the bronze medal defeating Massús doubles partner González his opponent Dent of the USA after 3:25 hours.
In the final, the Chilean duo González / Massú defeated the Germans shaker and pine in five sets. Jaws / shaker awarded four match points in the tie-break in the fourth set. In the fifth set lost both duos several times their own serve - after 3:43 hours and almost at night at 02:40 hour clock with the better end for the Chileans. They needed four match points for the first Olympic gold medal in the history of Chile.
The match for the gold medal won the Belgian Henin after 1:18 hours. The Australian Molik defeated in their match for 3rd place, the Russian Myskina after 1:04 hours. In the semis Myskina led the decisive third set 5-1, but lost that even with 6:8.
In the match for the gold medal won by the Chinesinen 1:29 hours. The Argentine duo defeated the double from Japan in 1:01 hours.
