Title defenders were Li Ting and Sun Tiantian. The final of denied Serena and Venus Williams against Anabel Medina Garrigues and Virginia Ruano Pascual, which won the Williams in straight sets. In the bronze medal match Yan Zi and Zheng Jie won in straight sets against Kateryna Bondarenko and Alyona.
