Tenri, Nara

Tenri (Japanese天理 市, -shi, literally: law of nature, heavenly reason) is a city in Japan in Nara prefecture in Japan.

The Isonokami Shrine, a Shinto shrine with religious, historical and artistic importance, is in Tenri.

The spiritual center of the Tenri religion is also located in Tenri and dominates the cityscape. In the city center between the railway station and the main temple people can be seen mainly in the uniform -like Hapi clothing of religion with the inscription " Tenrikyo ". In areas of the city speaker systems are installed, by 14 clock to play the Tenrikyomusik daily; then the faithful break their actions and begin with an unexpected outsiders religious movement sequence. The city of Tenri also raises itself on its Japanese website as the "City of Tenrikyo " dar.

The city is home to a large private university, the Tenridai.

The company Sharp has a greater work at Tenri.

The city was founded in its present form on April 1, 1954.
