Teo Gheorghiu

Teo Gheorghiu (born 12 August 1992 Männedorf, Canton Zurich ) is a Swiss pianist, of Romanian origin and a Canadian citizen.

Teo began his career as a pianist at the age of five years and attended from the age of nine, the Purcell School in London, a boarding school for musically gifted children, where he studied with William Fong piano.

Now, he attended the Curtis Institute of Music, a conservatory in Philadelphia, which always has only between 150 and 170 students because of its strict shooting conditions.

In the Swiss film Vitus he plays a highly talented boys; for this he received the 2007 Undine Award for best film debutant. The final scene of the film used live recordings from his first concert in 2004 at the Tonhalle in Zurich, where he performed the Piano Concerto by Robert Schumann.
