Teo Otto Theater

The Teo Otto Theater ( formerly city theater ) is the municipal theater in Remscheid. It is the largest and most important of the three theaters in the city. It is in close proximity to Remscheid city hall in the city center.

The Teo - Otto-Theater can accommodate 620 people. In addition to the regular theater program of the Symphony Orchestra of Solingen and Remscheid cities, the " Bergische Symphoniker ", various operas, concerts and theater plays. In addition, here is an annual ' Night of Sports "takes place, in which the best sportsmen and women of Remscheid will be chosen.

History

1952, the first phase of construction was begun by the plans of the architect Ernst chicken. On 11 January 2000, the city of Remscheid took the theater in their monument list. Almost a year later on 30 September 2001 it was named after the Remscheid stage Teo Otto. This was followed by renovations that were completed in 2003.
