Tepeyac

Tepeyac is a suburb of Mexico City. In pre-Columbian times here was an independent city that, together with Hernán Cortés and the Spanish conquistadors to Tenochtitlan, the capital of the Aztecs fought. It was historically known by the names Tepeyacac ​​and Tepeaquilla. Tepeyac is located on a hill within the northernmost district of the Mexican Federal District.
