Tera Computer Company
The Tera Computer Company was founded in 1987 by James Rottsolk and Burton Smith in Washington, DC founded in hardware and software for high-performance computing ( supercomputers ) to develop. In 1988 the office was moved to Seattle.
In 2000, Tera Computer Company purchased the Cray Research from SGI and changed its name to Cray Inc..
