Terbuthylazine is a selective and systemically acting herbicide and the chemical structure of the atrazine very similar ( replacing the isopropyl by a tert-butyl group). It is therefore such as atrazine and simazine to the chlorotriazines. As a crop protection agent, it is allowed in Germany, Austria and Switzerland. Main area of application is the control of weeds in the cultivation of corn. Terbuthylazine preparations are usually sold as a suspension concentrate.
