Teresa Margaret of the Sacred Heart

Teresa Margaret of the Sacred Heart of Jesus, born Anna Maria Redi, ( born July 15, 1747 in Arezzo, Tuscany, † March 7, 1770 in Florence) was a nun in the Order of Discalced Carmelites in 1934 and canonized by the Catholic Church.

Life

Anna Maria Redi came from a noble family and was educated by the Benedictines in Florence. At a young age she had mystical experiences and felt the Carmelite vocation. On September 1, 1764 she appeared as a postulant in the Carmel of Florence and took the garment on March 11, 1765 the religious name Teresa Margaret of the Sacred Heart of Jesus. She was accompanied by many friends and as well as the entire nobility of the town to the monastery. Your profession, she took off on March 12 in 1766. On March 6, 1770 internal ulcer broke up and Sr. Teresa Margaret died the next day.
