Teriyaki (Japanese照り 焼き,テリヤキfrom teri, " luster " and yaku " grilling, stewing ") is a method of preparation in Japanese cuisine in which fish, meat (especially beef or poultry) and vegetables with a special teriyaki sauce marinated and then fried, grilled or stewed.
