Terra X: Schliemanns Erben
Schliemann's heirs is a television series produced since 1996, the Second German Television. Content themes of the story focusing archeology, with each shipment takes up a single theme. Screenwriter and director is mainly the journalist and author Gisela Graichen.
The series is from ZDF ( division: ZDFexpedition since 2010 Terra X) broadcast by 3sat and Phoenix and is also used by pay- TV channel History shown. Schliemann's heirs was honored in 2002 with the Bavarian Television Award. For some programs, there are companion books. It was named after the famous archaeologist Heinrich Schliemann (1822-1890), who conducted pioneering excavations and research.
The theme music is from Hans Zimmer Leaving Wall Brook / On The Road from the soundtrack to Rain Man.
An offshoot of the series was Schliemann's gold.
