Terrence Trammell belongs in the first decade of the 21st century at the best 110- meter hurdles sprinters in the world. He won the silver medal in his first international competitions at the 2000 Olympic Games in Sydney. After his title over 60 meters hurdles at the World Indoor Championships in Lisbon in 2001, he also belonged to the circle of favorites for the upcoming World Championships outdoors. At the World Championships in Paris in 2003 he again won the silver medal, as well as at the 2004 Olympic Games in Athens. In Helsinki at the world championships 2005 he finished fifth.
At the World Indoor Championships in Moscow in 2006, he won gold over 60 meters hurdles and bronze in the 60 - meter dash. At the World Championships 2007 he was the 110-meter hurdles in 12.99 s second behind Liu Xiang.
