Terry Farrell (actress)

Terry Farrell ( born November 19, 1963 in Cedar Rapids, Iowa; actually Theresa Lee Farrell greeting village ) is an American actress and former fashion model. She was known primarily for her roles as Jadzia Dax in Star Trek: Deep Space Nine and Reggie in the sitcom Becker.

Farrell grew up in Boston. In 1978, she left with 15 years of her hometown in Iowa and was an exchange student in Mexico City. During this time she discovered her love of big cities, so they sent soon after her photo to the Elite Model Agency in New York. Shortly after she became 16 years old, she was ordered to New York and had two days later an exclusive contract with Mademoiselle magazine.

After 18 months as a model for publicity photos, she joined Kate McGregor Stewart studied acting and modeled the way from now on. Her first major roles she received in 1984 in the short-lived television series Paper Dolls ( carousel of dolls), in which she played a model and in the feature film Do it again, Dad ( Back to School ) with Rodney Dangerfield. In the spring of 1989, she continued her studies with Stella Adler and got some roles in series such as Back to the past (Quantum Leap ) and The Cosby Show. In 1992, she played the lead role in the movie Hellraiser 3: Hell On Earth. In 1993, she eventually became a lead role in Star Trek: Deep Space Nine offered.

After they had played their role of science officer Jadzia Dax for six years, died in her character in 1998 in the finale of the sixth season the Serientod because Farrell her contract would not be extended for the last season (at least not on the terms that were offered to her by the production team ). Their role was continued under the name Ezri Dax of Nicole de Boer.

After leaving Deep Space Nine, Farrell was given the role of the café owner Reggie in the TV series Becker. She went there for four years, until the producers decided to replace it with Nancy Travis. Farrell now lives with her husband, actor Brian Baker ( known in the U.S. as an advertising figure of the Telecom Group Sprint), and their son in Hershey, Pennsylvania.

The discovered on 23 April 2001 by the Canadian astronomers William Kwong Yu Yeung Asteroid ( 26734 ) Terryfarrell was named by the International Astronomical Union on 28 March 2002 after her.
