Self-description

"Ex- Monty Python Terry Jones has something against the Renaissance. For the humanists cemented the image of the Middle Ages as a dark, superstitious age in which people had to suffer.

And so Terry Jones wants to clean up finally. After all, nothing could be further from the truth. True to this motto and in the proven style, he embarks on a mission by England to unearth the reality behind the myths and the official history of the Middle Ages. Starting from the usual clichés such as the farmers, the monk, the knight and the damsel he brings the Middle Ages with wonderful human stories to life. Were the peasants really uneducated slaves, whose short life was all work? Did women really wait behind thick walls on her knight in shining armor? What was the life of the monks? "
