Terry Melcher

Terry Melcher ( born February 8, 1942 in New York; † November 19, 2004 in Beverly Hills, California ) was an American music producer and songwriter.

Life

Melcher, son of Doris Day from her first marriage to trombonist Al Jorden, was adopted by Doris Days third husband, Martin Melcher. Melcher wrote numerous hits. He became known in the early 1960s through his work with Bruce Johnston. She published under the name " Bruce & Terry " and " The Rip Chords " numerous singles, including Hey Little Cobra, the 1964 number 4 on the Billboard Hot 100 in February,.
