Terry Rawlings

Terry Rawlings ( born 1933 in London, England ) is a British cutter.

Life

Terry Rawlings got Elstree and spent four years studying music editor before he first time in 1962 in the films The indiscreet Room, The big blockbuster and The Kitchen cops the tone section. Until 1977, including Ridley Scott's first feature film, the drama The Duellists Rawlings cut only the sound before the river also took over the bottom for the first time the film cut. Even later with Scott he formed a successful collaboration, cut it but Alien - The mysterious creature from another world, Blade Runner and Legend for him. However, it was with Chariots of Fire, a sports biography of Hugh Hudson, with the Rawlings 1982 his greatest success of his career, an Oscar nomination for Best Editing received.

Terry Rawlings is a member of the American Cinema Editors and awarded him the Organistation 2006, the ACE Career Achievement Award for his life's work.
