Tersk horse

The Tersk is a Russian breed of horses.

Exterior

Riding horse in oriental type with significantly more substance than an Arab ( horse). Boasting elegant building and a fine head with a concave profile, intelligent eyes and ears sickle. But most of all mold and other vivid colors.

Interior

Combines gentleness and intelligence with hardness and fearlessness. Due to its great endurance of Tersker is used in endurance rides, races and jumping competitions.

Breeding history

The Tersker comes from Russia, where he formerly served as light cavalry horse. The breed originated in the 19th century from the crossing of Ukrainian mares and Oriental stallions. In the period before the second world war then Kabarda, Shagya Arabian, Don Horse, English and Arabian horses were bred. In 1948 he was recognized as a separate breed.
