Terzo, Piedmont
Terzo ( Piedmontese Marketers ) is a municipality with 912 (as of 31 December 2012) a population of Alessandria in the Italian province (AL ), Region Piedmont.
Geography
The village lies at an altitude of 222 m above sea level. The municipality covers an area of 8 km ². The neighboring municipalities are Acqui Terme, Bistagno, Melazzo and Montabone (AT).
Specialty
In Terzo vines for the Dolcetto d' Acqui, a red wine are grown with DOC status. The berries of the grape varieties Pinot Noir and / or Chardonnay may be processed for sparkling wine Alta Langa. The Muscat grape for the Asti Spumante, a sweet DOCG sparkling wine with a low alcohol content and for still wine Moscato d' Asti is also grown here. From the grape variety of the sweet Brachetto Brachetto d'Acqui sparkling wine is produced. In Terzo also vines of Barbera for the Barbera d'Asti, a DOCG red wine with status, as well as for the Barbera del Monferrato are grown.
