Tesfaye Tafa

Tesfaye Tafa (* November 15, 1962 ) is a retired Ethiopian long-distance runner.

At the World Cross Country Championships in 1989 in Stavanger, he was fifth in the long distance races and finished second in the team standings with Ethiopia in third place. The following year he reached at the World Cross Country Championships in Aix -les -Bains, ranked 14th in the individual competition and won the team silver. At the Boston Marathon, he finished in eleventh place, and run a marathon athletics Africa Championships in Cairo, he won gold.

In 1991 he finished seventh in Boston and won the Amsterdam Marathon, he finished tenth in Boston and fourth at the Beijing Marathon 1992. When in the context of the San Sebastian Marathon discharged IAAF World Cup Marathon 1993 he came with his personal best of 2:11:57 h to 14th place.

In 1998, he was third at the Vienna City Marathon.
