Tesfaye Tola

Tesfaye Tola (born 19 October 1974 in Province Arsi ) is an Ethiopian long-distance runner and Olympic gold medalist.

In 1999 he performed on his personal best of 2:06:57 h as fourth in the Amsterdam Marathon. In a marathon, the 2000 Olympics in Sydney he won bronze behind his compatriot Gezahegne Abera and Erick Wainaina (KEN ). At the World Athletics Championships in Edmonton in 2001, he finished fourth.

In 2004, he was fifth in the London Marathon, in 2005 third in the Amsterdam Marathon in 2008 and fifth at the Dubai Marathon, each with times under 2:10.
