The mountain river originates in the transition region of South Yukon Plateau and the Stikine Ranges plateau. Its sources are located in British Columbia to a mountain lake, fed by various streams. The water flows through this lake, leaving him in the north and arrives at the more northerly Teslin Lake, which he fed approximately at the southeast end and flows in southeast-northwest direction.
