Tessin bei Boizenburg

Ticino b. Boizenburg is a municipality in the district of Ludwigsburg pleasure Parchim in Mecklenburg-Vorpommern. It is administered by the Office Boizenburg country located in the not office belonging to the city Boizenburg / Elbe. The municipality is divided into the districts of Ticino b. Boizenburg and Kuhlenfeld.

Geography and Transport

Ticino is located in the west of Mecklenburg-Vorpommern in the Natural Park Mecklenburgisches Elbetal. On the western boundary of the municipality the Schaale flows very curvaceous south towards brews through swampy terrain. Through the municipal area the main road runs through the 5th district Kuhlenfeld leads the railway line railway line Hamburg-Berlin, but has no breakpoint there.

History

Ticino 1230 is first mentioned in Ratzeburg tithe register.

Since the track capacity in the border station Schwanheide not sufficient during the division of Germany, freight trains were dispatched towards the Federal Republic in the car at border point Kuhlenfeld and controlled. To avoid a further control in Schwanheide had towards the border departing trains pass through in Boizenburg and can be included in Schwanheide.
