Testament Records (United States)

Testament Records was an American, first in Philadelphia, then in Chicago, later based in Pasadena record label, that of the Down Beat magazine editor and writer Pete Welding was founded in 1963 and until 1977 about 30 LPs, especially Blues - but also some gospel, country and jazz albums, has issued.

In 1994, the entire Testament catalog was sold to Hightone Records, who brought out in the following years almost all of Testament albums on CD, often complemented by previously unreleased additional shots of the same recording sessions.
