Teufelsberg (Palatinate)

The Teufelsberg is a 597.6 m above sea level. NHN high mountain range in the southern Palatinate Forest on the boundary of the local church Burrweiler in the district of Southern Wine Route ( Rhineland -Palatinate). A secondary peak is the Lambert head with 539 m above sea level. NHN.

Geographical location

The Teufelsberg is located near the southern end of the Haardt, which forms the eastern edge of the Palatinate Forest, and offers an extensive view of the Upper Rhine Valley. He is traffic- undeveloped and only on marked trails accessible.

Bischofskreuz

At the highest point of the mountain devil, which is formed by a boulder, stands on a high pedestal a stone Wetterkreuz. It was created by local sculptor John Minges and consecrated on July 25, 1909 by the Speyer bishop Konrad von Busch. That is why it bears the name Bischofskreuz popularly. So is also called a vineyard in nearby wine-producing Walsheim.

Annakapelle

Located on a mountain spur on the eastern slope of the mountain devil, between the summit and Burrweiler, is 423 m above sea level. NHN, the Catholic Anna chapel.
