Teufenbachweiher

The Teufenbach pond is a storage pond in the Canton of Zurich in the town of Schönberg ZH. It lies on the north side of a small forest, halfway between huts and Menzingen.

The Teufenbach pond is operated together with the power plant forest stockpile of the power plants of the Canton of Zurich ( CPB ). To operate the plant Sihl is led by her huts by a 2.2 km long tunnel in the pond. The power plant uses the 72-meter difference in height to the turbine house in the forest heap. The expanded water is then sent back to the Sihl.
