Teun A. van Dijk

Teun Adrianus van Dijk ( born May 7, 1943 in Naaldwijk, Netherlands ) is a linguist and racism researchers.

He is currently working at the University Pompeu Fabra in Barcelona. In Germany he had influence on the research on racism and the development of critical discourse analysis. Sharing research were conducted as part of the Duisburg school of critical discourse analysis, in collaboration with Siegfried Jäger and the Duisburg Institute for Language and Social Research. Teun van Dijk developed basic methods of analysis for empirical research of everyday racism.
