Teuvo Pakkala

Teuvo Pakkala (actually Theodor Oskar Frosterius; born April 9, 1862 in Oulu, † May 7, 1925 in Kuopio ) was a Finnish writer.

Life

Pakkala was the son of a goldsmith. He studied 1884-1888 in Helsinki and then worked as a journalist and book editor. From 1907 he was a teacher of Finnish and French in Kokkola.

Alexander Kielland, and Jonas Lie affect the early work Pakkalas. His stories for children advanced to today classics of Finnish children's literature. Successful Pakkala was with his work for the Finnish National Theatre.
