Tex-Mex

The Tex -Mex cuisine refers to a style of cooking, which was developed in the USA. The name consists of the names of the two regions together that affect this kitchen: The U.S. state of Texas and the northern part of Mexico. The kitchen thus combining individual elements of Mexican cuisine with Southern cuisine, but not without its own aspects and peculiarities contribute. Characteristic of the Tex- Mex cuisine is mainly the use of hot spices, meat and beans.

General

The most famous product of Mexican cuisine is the tortilla. There are so many prepared dishes such as enchiladas, burritos, fajitas and flautas.

History

The term "Tex -Mex " was initially an American nickname for the Texan - Mexican Railroad, originated from the abbreviation of the name.
