Texas Is the Reason

Texas Is The Reason was a post-hardcore band from New York. The group founded in 1994, disbanded in 1997. 2012 to 2013 she was active again.

Band History

Texas Is the Reason was founded in 1994 by Norm Arenas (guitar, formerly of Shelter ), Chris Daly (drums, formerly of 108), Scott Winegard (bass) and Garrett Klahn (vocals and guitar). The name of the band goes on a line of text from the song Misfits Bullet back ( " Texas is the reason did the president 's dead" ).

Their only regular album, Do You Know Who You Are? Was produced by J. Robbins of Jawbox and the band released in 1996 by Revelation Records. Shortly after, a split EP was released with the band Samiam at Jade Tree Records. The following year, Texas Is the Reason was disbanded due to disputes. Published in 1999, Your Choice Records three years previously recorded split live album with Samiam.

Norm Arenas and Scott Winegard then played in Jonah Matra Gas Project New End Original, the album Thriller released in 2001. Chris Daly founded by Blake Schwarzenbach of Jawbreaker Jets to Brazil, the group that was active from 1997 to 2003.

Late fame was bestowed Texas Is the Reason, as Daimler Chrysler 2002 used the song There's no way I can talk myself out of this one tonight for a commercial.

2006, the band for two sold-out farewell concerts on 25 and 26 November at Irving Plaza, New York City was reunited. As official reason the band never stated in their separation an official farewell concert in front of all our friends in their hometown to have had.

Between 2012 and 2013, the band was active again. After a European tour the reunion was completed on August 5, 2013 in London.
