TeXworks

TeXworks is an open source application for Windows, Unix systems and Mac OS X. It is a graphical user interface for the typesetting program TeX and its extensions LaTeX, ConTeXt and XeTeX.

It is developed by Jonathan Kew ( XeTeX ), which expressly chose the award-winning TeXShop program as a model. The release of TeXShop had caused among the users of the operating system Mac OS X TeX a boom, the Jonathan Kew wants to promote his program TeXworks also among users of other modern operating systems.

TeXworks requires a TeX installation: TeX Live, MiKTeX or MacTeX.

Integrated into TeXworks is a PDF viewer. A targeted, automatically controlled navigation between the PDF Preview and the LaTeX source is possible.
